FAQ

Do you accept insurance?

No, I am private pay only. However, I am happy to provide the necessary paperwork for out-of-network reimbursement.

What is your approach?

My style is eclectic & tailor-made for you. However, I always work from a relational, psychodynamic, & attachment based lens. I also use EMDR when appropriate.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that targets negative thoughts, feelings, and body sensations related to past or future events.  Bilateral stimulation (left to right) is then incorporated allowing you to reprocess the memories & make new positive connections in the brain.  Bilateral stimulation can be visual, auditory, or tactile. EMDR helps you change negative experiences into positive, adaptive, or resolved ones. Want more info? CLICK HERE

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

Before you schedule a service, you can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
